Ok, well I finally brought the computer
to the house so I "should" be posting more "frequently".
I've been playing a little bit of golf in the past weeks. I still slice the
ball a whole lot and lost a consistent swing pretty quickly but I'm hitting
quite a few really good shots. I almost got a hole in one a few weeks ago as
well! Take a look at how close I was. And yes that would be me with the shaggy
hair and wearing Deisels while golfing haha.

Just finished up the Jr Hi / HS retreat this past weekend. It's always a blessing
to see God's faithfulness when His children gather together. As far as I can
gather it seems like everyone had a great time hanging out and learning more
about God. Hopefully it was a blessing to all and the calling to a more dedicated
walk and a life that is refreshed in the Lord is the outcome. I think the Lord
keeps affirming in my heart with each passing year that He's called me to serve
in the area that I'm in right now. The yearning and desire to serve in this
capacity continues to grow as well as the capacity to give of myself. It's neat
to experience.
Didn't get a chance to take very many photos, so I'll just link it to someone
who took his
fair share.
Right before the weekend I made the decision to change to another division at
Costco. My AGMM (Bosses' Boss) asked me if I had ever considered a lateral move
in the company to a fast growing division that would most likely open up more
opportunities for me. I had varying feelings but I'm peaceful with the decision
to try something new. On one hand it's quite hard to find a division where you
enjoy the work and enjoy working with each co-worker... but I think the move
came at the right time. It's also nice to know that the work I put in is being
noticed and that I'm being asked for from other divisions even though I didn't
apply for the position. The funny thing is that when I made the decision to
move I felt the Lord remind me to not get too comfortable wherever I am... to
be ready to pick up and go if He so calls. Interesting... wasn't sure what to
make of it. For now, I'll take it as a reminder. :)
My mom got a new job last week as well. Another prayer answered and hopefully
a seed in my mom's heart. She knew that Connie and I were praying for her and
we tried to help and encourage her through the process. I'm sure it's a huge
relief to her but I'm hoping it's the start of more than just a huge relief.
Kindness - Chris Tomlin
Open up the skies of mercy
Rain down the cleansing flood
Healing waters rise around us
Hear our cries, Lord
Let em rise...
Chorus:
Its Your kindness Lord
That leads us to repentance
Your favor, Lord
Is our desire
Its Your beauty Lord
That makes us stand in silence
And Your love, Your love is better than life
Verse 2:
We can feel Your mercy falling
You are turning our hearts back again
Hear our praises rise to Heaven
Draw us near Lord
Meet us here
