Quite an eventful weekend. So our wedding party threw us a surprise wedding party. It was great to see so many people actually show up for it. Like I've said all along, it's really been a blessing to have so much support. Thanks all!

Today we tasted some sample cakes from Larry's Market and spent the evening working on the invitations and programs. Lots of cutting, folding, stamping, etc. It was like our own little sweat shop :) We actually got quite a bit done.

So it seems as though Connie and I will be looking to get a townhouse now. It's just that we can't really find a house that we truly like in our price range so we're gonna spend less and get a townhouse for the time being. This way we can actually have money to travel and stuff as well, and we can sell it off in a few years when we find a house that we are more drawn to.

I had some things that I was thinking about a few days ago and wanted to blog about, but I seem to have forgotten. Hmm... what was it???

Seems like I'm the only one with the day off today... makes it kind of boring. Well I got some errands done, but still there's not much to do. I guess that's why I'm writing in the blog today haha.

So I've been reading a little bit these past couple of days. Usually my problem is that I read one book but then start another book and before you know it I'm reading three or four books during the same span and I don't finish any of them! I'm in the middle of Moneyball right now. I've had it for probably 4 months and I'm just now getting to it. That should be a pretty fast read. Been reading some Christian books as well. I think I'm gonna pick up a copy of The Davinci Code and read that next. I've heard quite a bit about it and figured might as well read it so that I know what people are talking about :P Who knows... it'll probably take me 4 months just to start it after I buy it.

Found this as I was surfing around today... haha

MikeRoweSoft? Haha... stupid

Wow! Sasaki is not going to be playing in Seattle next year?

Connie and I went to do some of the wedding registry stuff today... man, it's tiring. First of all I don't like to shop all that much in the first place... well, don't like to go out and shop haha. Anyways, we only got a little bit done too, I guess that's cause we bought supplies for the invitations as well.

So for Youth Worship, I'm kind of doing a series of sharings (basically cause there's no way to squeeze it all in for one Sunday). I'm going over Jesus' last week before being crucified. It's really interesting to read through the Gospels and see how much was going on during that week. We focus in on the crucifixion so much sometimes (rightly so though) that we miss some of the little details... and in those little details we can find great treasures.

So I'm 25 today. Quarter of a century old. Man, I'm pretty much an old fart. haha. Well, someone at the wedding expo asked me if I played basketball at the IMA in the late 80s. That would make me what? In my 40's!

Went to the wedding expo on Saturday. Ate lots of wedding cake and walked around a ton. Pretty good for brainstorming ideas though. Course the whole wedding party was dragged along as well (those who are in town of course). It's kinda funny though to see the woman to man ratio there. Getting out of the car we say this one Indian dude. He looked so happy to see that there were other guys at the Expo... hahaha. In fact he kept looking over when we were in line to buy tickets. :P

Sunday afternoon we caught the tail end of overtime for the Seahawks game. Waaahhhhh!!!!!!!! Arg, what a way to lose. Oh well... you can't lose the same way every year. This time they chose to go with the give them hope and then give them the most painful lose possible. As I say the guy running down the sideline it reminded me of the Washington // Oregon game back in the 90's.

It's so cold outside right now. 26 degrees right now and dropping. I can't believe that one dude survived being lost for 4 days in the back country. Quite amazing.
