Well, looks like Connie and I finally found the reception site. It's been some
ups and downs and a bit tiring... it's definitely nice to be able to have that
part done. Plenty of more work to be done though.
I was meaning to post something these past couple of weeks, but never got around
to it. I was going to post these two devotionals last week
cause I thought they were good -

The Cure For Resentment
Read: John 21:18-25
Jesus said to him,
"If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?
You follow Me."
John 21:22
We may readily agree with the statement that "all men are
created equal." But we don't have to live long before discovering that
life treats some people better than others. This is something we must learn
to accept without resentment. Life's inequities show up on many levels. Cancer
ravages the body of a child, while a hard-drinking chain-smoker lives to a ripe
old age. Some people enjoy good health, others don't. Some have no physical
disabilities, others have severe limitations. Some work hard and remain poor,
while
others are born to wealth or seem to get all the breaks. When Jesus informed
the apostle Peter that he was going to die as a
martyr for his faith, Peter asked what would happen to his fellow disciple John.
He seemed to think that it wouldn't be fair if John didn't die the same way.
But Jesus told him that what would happen to John was not to be Peter's concern-that
was God's decision. Peter's responsibility was simple: He was to follow Christ.
When looking at others makes you resent the unfairness of life, change
your focus. Look to Jesus and follow Him. Life's injustices are only for a little
while. Perfect fairness will be ours to enjoy forever in
heaven.
-Herb Vander Lugt
At times our path is rough and steep,
Our way is hard to see;
We ask God, "Why is life unfair?"
He answers, "Follow Me." -D. De Haan
Resentment comes from looking at others;
contentment comes from looking to God.

Evangelism

Though John never performed a miraculous sign, all that John
said about
this man was true. (John 10:41)
Perhaps you are very dissatisfied with yourself. You are not a genius, have no distinctive gifts, and are inconspicuous when it comes to having any special abilities. Mediocrity seems to be the measure of your existence. None of your days are noteworthy, expect for their sameness and lack of zest. Yet in spite of this you may live a great life.
John the Baptist never performed a miracle, but Jesus said of him, "Among those born of women there is no one greater" (Luke 7:28). His mission was to be "a witness to the light" (John 1:8), and that may be your mission and mine. John was content to be only a voice, if it caused people to think of Christ.
Be willing to be only a voice that is heard but not seen, or
a mirror whose glass the eye cannot see because it is reflecting the brilliant
glory of the Son. Be willing to be a breeze that arises just before daylight,
saying, "The dawn! The dawn!" and then fades away.
Do the most everyday and insignificant tasks knowing that God can see. If you live with difficult people, win them over through love. If you once made a great mistake in life, do not allow it to cloud the rest of your life, but by locking it secretly in your heart, make it yield strength and character.
We are doing more good than we know. The things we do today - sowing seeds or sharing simple truths of Christ - people will someday refer to as the first things that prompted them to think of Him. For my part, I will be satisfied not to have some great tombstone over my grave but just to know that common people will gather there once I am gone and say, "He was a good man. He never performed any miracles, but he told me about Christ, which led me to know Him for myself." George Matheson

My computer is working again! Whew... thought I had to throw it out
the window for a moment there :)
I've been remembering my dreams the past week or two. It's pretty odd since
I never seem to remember any. Well, actually it's not really like I've been
remembering them for the past couple weeks.... it's more like I remember parts
of them so at least I know that I'm dreaming. From what I remember though, they're
pretty weird dreams.
Connie and I are continuing the search for the reception site as well as for
a house. Aiya... why is it so difficult. Hmm... well I guess if there's anytime
to be picky it's these times.
Just got done watching the Huskies whoop all over the Ducks. Ahh... all is well
in the world haha. It's always a nice weekend when the Huskies get to beat down
on the Ducks and find out that the Cougars got whooped on as well.
