Worked from 6-6 today. It wasn't all that bad, there was a lot to do so I kept
busy pretty much the whole day. I think I took about 15-20 minutes to eat lunch
but other than that it was pretty much all work... with the occasional email
here and there haha. Good thing I had dinner plans around 6 or else I'd have
probably have stayed there all night :)
All is good when the Yankees lose. One thing that I have found annoying
with baseball playoffs is the announcers. Every year these announcers on Fox
come up with the most obvious statements that it's amazing someone actually
says it. Good thing we're used to it in Seattle... having Ron "Captain
Obvious" Fairly and all. If you don't know what I'm talking about, he is
famous for such quotes as "He fakes a bluff".
Seahawks...
doh!
doh!
doh!
well
at least it isn't bad
So Connie has been away in Oregon for work the past couple of days. It's weird
because even though I have the bed all to myself I end up still falling asleep
on my side of the bed and when I wake up it's like I haven't moved. We talked
on the phone last night and watched part of a movie that was on USA (Undercover
Brother haha)... it was like old times when we were doing the long distance
relationship thing.

Wow, two posts in two days!
So I received my absentee ballot in the mail today. I feel like I'm
pretty uninformed about the candidates for most of the positions in office.
There's only a few that I already know who I'm voting for. I guess I'll have
to do some research between now and then. I know a lot of people who aren't
sure they are even going to vote because they don't know much about the candidates...
that's too bad because you're essentially letting other people make decisions
for you. I know I know... most people don't think their vote counts and I guess
it's true that individually it may not... but the collective vote does and the
mentality that it doesn't count is exactly what keeps it from actually counting.
I watched the past two debates, but missed last night's. It's kind
of funny because they all keep saying the exact same things... they just rephrase
their statements a little. All in all I think the debates are a few hours of
scripted answers that are basically useless. It's a better idea to look at the
person's decision making skills and integrity over the course of their political
career and even before that.
Oh, bought a new TV
last weekend. So far so good. Alan keeps telling me that I should get something
custom built where it can be placed in the wall and then with the touch of a
remote it can either swivel around for viewing in the bedroom or swivel back
for viewing in the family room... I'm thinking it'd be cheaper just to get a
second plasma for the bedroom :)
Anyone have one of these???
Pretty comfortable huh?
What is wrong with these Shanghai
guys?

Things are pretty crazy busy at work. I seriously think I could put
in 12 hours days all week easy but good thing they don't want to pay me the
overtime :) On the plus side though, I'm enjoying the work and getting to know
the people up in the new division a bit better.
Bumping into people you have already said hi to in the day is an odd
thing. There's some sort of unwritten rule that whenever you bump into someone
regardless of how many times you've seen that person that day you have to say
hi, give a head nod, or at least smile as you walk past them again. Over a 2
or 3 minute span today this one guy and I walked past each other maybe 5 or
6 times. He said hi to me the first 3 or 4 times which started to get me thinking
about this unwritten rule. It was pretty funny as he'd switch up the way he'd
say hi. Different tones, facial expressions, etc.
Oh yeah... during lunch today I dropped my lunch in my lap!!! All my mi fen
fell out of the tupperware container and into my lap. Sigh.... a bunch of it
got on the ground as well so I was trying to clean that up too. Good thing the
slacks I wore today we're ones that helped to blend in the oil stains a bit
so it wasn't really noticeable unless people were looking where they shouldn't
be looking!

The one month test using titles is over
and I think I'm going to do without them... not because they are useless or
look bad. The problem lies with the fact that it's more steps to do... and then
you inevitably have the urge to come up with some funny or well thought out
caption which takes up entirely too much time. It's already rare enough that
I actually update this thing. :) I guess the few people who read this will have
to live with it being random.
At work, I've moved over to the E-Commerce side of the business. Prayed about
it and think it's the right move and the right time. I'm now working on the
consumer electronics side of the business so I get to research plasma's, mobile
video, gps systems, etc. Not too shabby going into work and looking around for
new ideas to build up these categories. So far everything is going great. I
miss my co-workers over in International though. Actually that's one thing I
find that's different... it seems so much quiter over in E-Commerce. The first
few days all I could seem to hear was the clicking of people's keyboards!
Funny satire article about Steven
A Smith from ESPN.
Women... please do not wear these
anymore... please... please... please. I see them everywhere and I hate them.
Just wear a sweater or a coat please. I add this along with capris... me no
likey!
Can
you feel the love tonight? I think the dude is going crazy... first he blows
up in Taiwan and now this. Seriously... get this guy checked out.
Congrats to Joe-Mama's Santana for winning the league. I'm glad Pujols could
be of service :)
Goodbye
Edgar... thanks for everything!
